Shipping Policy
Processing Times
We aim to process and dispatch all orders within 3–6 business days after purchase. Please note that we do not process or ship orders on weekends or holidays.
If we’re experiencing a high volume of orders (for example, during sales or special releases), shipments may be slightly delayed. We’ll do our best to notify you of any significant delays.

Pre-Orders
If you purchase a pre-order item, your entire order will ship together once the pre-order item is available. We do not split shipments — this helps us keep shipping costs manageable and reduce environmental impact.
If you want in-stock items shipped sooner, we recommend placing a separate order for them.
Shipping Regions & Fulfilment Centres
To provide the best delivery times and minimize shipping costs, we ship orders regionally where possible:

UK orders: Shipped from the UK

EU orders: Choice of shipping from the UK (untracked, uninsured) or from within the EU (tracked, insured)

US & Canada orders: Shipped from the United States

Australia & New Zealand orders: Shipped from Australia

All other international orders: Shipped from the UK
Shipping costs and options will be shown at checkout based on your location.
EU Shipping Options
We offer two options for EU shipping:

From the UK (untracked, uninsured, non-refundable)

Lower-cost, no tracking or insurance.

By choosing this option, you accept the risk of loss or damage during transit. We cannot offer refunds or replacements for lost or damaged parcels under this option.

From within the EU (tracked and insured)

Premium option with tracking and insurance for added security.

Recommended if you want peace of mind.

Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates
Shipping charges are calculated at checkout.
Estimated delivery times (after dispatch):

UK Orders: 3–5 business days

EU Orders: 5–10 business days (depending on option)

US & Canada Orders: 5–10 business days

Australia & New Zealand Orders: 5–10 business days

Other International Orders: 7–21 business days, depending on destination and customs
Please note: Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to postal delays or customs.
Shipping Carriers
We use Royal Mail and UPS for UK, various EU/US/Australian postal services for regional shipments, and standard international postal services for other destinations. Tracking is provided only for applicable services.

Customs, Duties & Taxes
Broken Sleep Books is not responsible for customs fees, import taxes, or duties on international orders. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.
Missing or Damaged Orders
If your order arrives damaged or doesn’t arrive within the estimated window, contact us at emma@brokensleepbooks.com within 14 days of the expected delivery date. We’ll work with you to resolve the issue.
Note: For EU orders shipped from the UK using the untracked/uninsured option, we cannot offer refunds or replacements for lost or damaged parcels.
Address Accuracy
Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. We cannot be responsible for orders shipped to incorrectly provided addresses.
