In Crossroads, students of Aberystwyth University’s Creative Writing MA course present a striking collection of poetry, prose, and art that meditates on the choices, uncertainties, and turning points that shape our lives. Curated by the 2025 cohort as part of the ‘Writer as Professional’ module, the anthology showcases both new and emerging voices, many appearing in print for the first time, alongside contributions from past students and undergraduates. Ranging from gothic tales and magical realism to intimate reflections on love, identity, and resilience, the pieces traverse the many directions a life can take. Whether confronting the shadows of personal struggle, imagining otherworldly encounters, or lingering in quiet moments of decision, Crossroads offers a vivid mosaic of contemporary writing. It invites readers to pause at the junctions of the human experience, where each path leads to a new possibility, a reckoning, or a revelation.
