Discredited Universe Models by Pascal Fallas gathers poems that test explanatory frameworks and find them wanting. Fallas moves between justified prose blocks, incantatory litany, and the clipped drift of the shipping forecast, tuning his attention to faulty instruments, misheard signals, and the failure of one mind to reach another. A wry, self-implicating humour runs through the domestic material of chopping wood, hard adolescence, and reticent poetry readers in the pub.
