The stories in The Incontinent of Royy are not stories in the traditional sense: plot, character, beginning, middle, end. Rather, they just taper off, as we do in our daily interactions. People pass by in Daniel R. Connelly’s subversive tales and disappear in each others' rearview mirrors; it's a kind of instant ghosting. We have become evermore indulgent, ignorant, passive, and opinionated, yet we remain clueless about it all, just like the people of Royy.
