Feel Fragments is a collaboration between Hannah Ensor and Laura Wetherington, a call-and-response of fragments and feel pieces moving between a sunlit step, a Dutch petting zoo, and the grey-carpeted seminar rooms of the academy. With deadpan wit, the Ensor and Wetherington test the border between thinking and feeling, drawing meditation, pain, early parenthood, forgotten dreams, bodily estrangement, and life after a pandemic and rising fascism into a sustained practice of listening. Presiding over it is a sunflower field the poems keep returning to, a place to rest, to meet, and perhaps a body itself.

PRAISE FOR FEEL FRAGMENTS

Together, Wetherington and Ensor have built a boardwalk of felt thought over a sea of non-thought. Reading Feel Fragments feels like following the poets along that boardwalk looking for the edge of the sentence, with a lingering ‘valerian hangover,’ as the toddler of Fragment ix chants ‘banana’ through the night.
